USAF veteran with 20 plus years of service, retiring in 1989. My hobbies besides Amateur radio are: Track days at my part-time summer job at Blackhawk Farms Raceway. Hot rods, sailing Lake Michigan, and summer outdoor house and garden projects.

I love the old stuff, so far I have a Hallicrafters HT-32A and a SX 101 Mark III, a Hallicrafters HT-44 and SX -117, as well as a Hallicrafters SR 150. My favorites are a Collins 32V3 transmitter, and a 75A1 and 75A4 receivers. As for modern rigs, I use a Icom 746 all mode, and a Icom 718 for PSK. Antennas are: a TA 33Jr tribander beam up 40 feet, and a 80 meter full wave loop up 50 feet, and a inverted "L" for 160 meters.

I Try to be active in the Vintage SSB net, and the Midwest Classic Radio AM net. In addition, I'm a member of Lakes Area Amateur Radio Club of Southeast Wisconsin, and their VE coordinator. My OMISS number is 9696.

I'm still finding new things/modes to learn and try in this hobby. I'm now tinkering with SDR receivers. 100% QSL via eQSL, (AG), and with ARRL's Log Book of the World, (LOTW).

73 and thanks for stopping by.
